UNAOC is seeking a videographer to undertake all necessary action to produce multimedia content.

 Functional Responsibilities

UNAOC is seeking a videographer to undertake all necessary action to produce multimedia content.

  • Coordinate information, identify original storytelling opportunities, and manage the development of the concepts and storyboard;
  • Coordinate and produce videos pertaining to UNAOC’s work and its project activities;
  • Manage and execute the technical aspects of video production, including audio mixing, color correction, format conversion, and file management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency;
  • Execute and coordinate shooting and editing of videos and web materials as needed and agreed between parties;
  • Execute video production and post-production, including logging and digitizing source tapes, outputting final cuts to tape and web clips, audio editing, etc.
  • Manage the selection of appropriate music for produced videos and coordinate necessary actions to be taken with reference to music licensing;
  • Regularly meet with UNAOC team for pre-producing meetings

 Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education 

  • Master’s degree in International Journalism, Political Sciences, or related area.
  • Bachelor’s degree with two years of additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master degree.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in video journalism, including in production, editing, directing, and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and write scripts for both short and long format promotional videos.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of video equipment.
  • Proficiency in Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, AE, PS, LR. Final Cut X is an asset
  • Strong research and reporting skills are desirable.
  • Knowledge of AP-Style scripts is desirable

Language:

  • Fluent in the English language required. Proficiency in an additional UN language a plus.

Contract duration: Retainer contract, Daily fee – the contract will be paid per day upon the acceptance of the certificate of payment.(COP).  This is a home based contract.
